A million golfers share their views

Australian facilities looking to understand their player base with measurable, actionable and real-time insights will see the recent announcement of a partnership between MPower MSL and the Danish player intelligence platform Players 1st as excellent news.

Players 1st currently service more than 1200 clubs in twelve countries and the European Golf Course Owners Association (EGCOA) have been heavily involved in the roll-out to its own members. Lodewijk Klootwijk, CEO of the EGCOA and keynote speaker at the 2016 Golf Business Forum and the upcoming 2018 Forum, is excited about the potential a tool like Players 1st can deliver to individual facilities and the industry as a whole. The EGCOA has spearheaded the collection of data pushed through the platform and Lodewijk is armed with the findings of more than 1 million golfer surveys and looks forward to sharing these insights later the month with the Forum. He told us,

What is the Number One thing we should improve to keep newcomers into the game of golf? Faster greens? Nicer bunkers? Longer drives? Get ready: it is attention: ‘Give me attention and I will become a happier customer and I am more likely to stay’.
— Lodewijk Klootwijk, CEO of EGCOA

Don’t miss Lodewijk’s sessions on the data and how customer insights can help you retain and recruit more customers for your golf business and make sure you catch up with the MPower MSL team if you have any questions about Players 1st as they launch their partnership at the Golf Business Forum.
